Praising God

As Christians, giving the Lord the highest praise (Hallelujah!) is what we should do continuously and continually. This week being Holy Week our hearts as well as minds and spirits should be focused on the fact that, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). We should also acknowledge that, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).

That being said, the time to praise God is at ALL TIMES. During the good and equally as important during the bad. Job (1:21) definitely did just that, And he said: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD.” Another reference to why we should praise God is as follows, “By You I have been upheld from birth; You are He who took me out of my mother’s womb. My praise shall be continually of You” (Psalm 71:6). The Lord has been with us since birth and He loves our very being. Every morning that we can get up, that we have breath is because of Him.

I don’t doubt that we all have trials as well as times to rejoice. But, what I know is no matter how small you may think your triumphs are or how large your tribulations, God hears your cries and will come to your aid if you trust and believe. Therefore, He is worthy to be praised! Sometimes the good things that you may think are so insignificant that happen to you make you neglect to praise the Almighty. I offer this verse to remind you that regardless of the circumstances we are commanded to:

Scripture: Psalm 150:6

Everything that has breath shall praise the LORD. Praise the LORD!
